Terms of service
The rules for using Mboka Yetu Jijini as a customer, provider, agent or partner.
Last updated: 2026.
1. The platform
Mboka Yetu Jijini is a marketplace that helps customers find and contact independent service providers. We verify providers but we are not a party to the contract between customer and provider, and we do not guarantee workmanship, pricing or timing.
2. Verification
A verified badge means the specific checks shown were completed on the dates shown. Checks expire and are re-run. Providers must keep documents current and notify us of any change in status.
3. Enquiries, quotes and jobs
Quote requests are free. A quote accepted on the platform forms an agreement between customer and provider on the stated scope and price. Changes should be recorded in the enquiry thread.
4. Contact unlocks and payments
Unlock fees are shown before payment and confirmed only after M-Pesa reports success. Access lasts for the stated period. Refunds are given where a provider's contact is invalid or they do not respond. Subscription fees follow the plan terms shown at purchase.
5. Reviews
Only customers with a recorded enquiry, unlock or job may review. Reviews are moderated for abuse and fraud; providers may respond publicly. We do not remove honest negative reviews.
6. Prohibited conduct
Fraud, harassment, discrimination, circumventing the platform to avoid fees after an unlock, fake reviews, and misuse of another person's data will result in suspension and may be reported to authorities.
7. Preview profiles
Profiles labelled “Preview” are sample data used during launch to demonstrate the product. They are not real providers and cannot be booked.
8. Liability
To the extent permitted by Kenyan law, our liability is limited to the fees you paid to us in the 12 months before the claim.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya.
